{Utah MMA} Jarome Hatch vs Josh VandeVeur 2-8-13

If you are new to by blog, my best friend's husband fights MMA here in Utah. We have gone to every fight in the last year. SUCH a fun time. Jarome Hatch is a veteran in the MMA scene.

This fight was amazing. These two do NOT like each other. And Josh (the opponent) had a BIG mouth. You should watch their interview video found HERE. So it amusing to watch Jarome finish him QUICKLY (tko 3 min into the first round). Also, please check Herb Dean in the ring! (UFC ref). Showdown Fights dont mess around! lol

Now i have a little vent.

As mentioned, we have known these guys (Nikki and Jarome) for a year now. And yes, we are really close and consider them best friends. So i might seem a little biased. But im not saying this cuz we're friends. I say this because i am overwhelmed by these guys.

These guys are the NICEST people i have ever met. So down to earth. Family oriented. Respectful. There is a REASON why Jarome has the biggest fan base of all the MMA fighters here in Utah. You dont acquire that by being "fake". Jarome is such a positive guy. So humble. Would give his shirt off his back to you. Always has something nice to say. A jokster, funny person. Always helping people, supportive, and always has good advice and positive things to say. His wife... where do i even start with her. This girl is my IDOL. She is ALWAYS running around, putting others before herself. She is the girl to call when you're having a bad day. She is the busiest person i know but ALWAYS makes time to bring you soup and oils if your sick, stops by if you're having a bad day, calls you up when you need to talk, she just senses these things! Man i love her.

I could go on and on, but ill stop haha.

You just dont come by all around GOOD PEOPLE that devote themselves to others so much very often.

Our Last 2 Weeks In Phone Pics!

2012 {Recap!}

WOOOOO-WEEE!

2012 has been REALLY eventful. Full of fall ins, fall outs, ups, downs, and the event that took the crown.. Mr Baiden being born. So lets recap this roller-coaster year!

Going through all the albums on my computer has been quite the blast to the past, and quite the task trying to pick ONE event in that month, and pick ONE pic. So my only advice is to follow the links and read the whole blog post! (If there is a link)

(Disclaimer: My life is an open book. I post a lot of pics. Key people in my life are in a lot of my pics.The internet world notices when things in the personal life change, even if i didnt officially talk about it on my blog. So out of respect for those involved, ill give a brief statement, but lets not ask too many questions lol)

JANUARY

 January was my fitness/weight loss PEAK after struggling for so long (9 months) with my newly discovered disease (February 2011) hypothyroidism and finding my right dose.

 April was the month of reunited friendships!

After a full year of not talking to one of my best friends and Braylee's best friend from when they were in the womb.. the past was put behind us. (Preslie, Rylee, & Braylee--best friend babies sense the womb) 

 Also rekindled another best friendship this month. After about 5 months of not seeing some very special people, we reconciled. I was a very happy camper this month

i lost 2 best friends, BUT gained (& rekindled) 2 best friends.

I know my life sounds dramatic in the friend department, but all i will say, is that i wasnt the one who threw the friendships away if you catch my drift. Im not going into detail, and please dont ask questions. But all i have to say, is that life gets the best of us sometimes. We are young, we make mistakes. Its sad to watch, but sometimes you just gotta let your loved ones have their time and know when to not let it bring you down. Ok, enough with that.

Getting pregnant after my miscarriage last year was amazing and i was so stoked for our new baby! My pregnancy was AMAZING! We had SO much fun this year with parks, camping, boating, bbq's, cabins adventures, concerts, carnivals, birthdays, holidays, HOLY CRAP! We met AMAZING friends this year who we have to thank for the rekindling, majority of the fun events, but most importantly, friends we can call family. People who would literally go to battle for us. Support us. Was there for me through hard times, Etc.

This was also the year for my photography business! I started photography the end of March of 2011. 2011 was my learning year, 2012 was my branching out and growth year! If you're interested in my work, head of over to my blog and follow it! :) http://chrissyannphotography.blogspot.com

FRUSTRATING Chow Top Fight Night {12/7/12}

I think this fight has been by far the most frustrating fight out of Jared and Jarome's fights in the last year that ive been watching their fights..

As a disclaimer  i just want to put it out there. Colton Vaughn (Jared's opponent) is a LEGIT guy. I have mad respect for him. And that says a lot, cuz i generally dont care for any opponents Jared or Jarome fight. They just straight piss me off. But Colton is very respectable and an awesome MMA fighter. Knows how to have competition, but be respectable and give credit where credit is due...

ok lets move on.

Just a QUICK overview, long story short, Jared KNOCKED HIS OPPONENT OUT at the end of the fist round... and the ref/officials/whoever... let the fight continue on (DONT ASK ME WHY), and then Jared ended up losing cuz the ref ended the fight, apparently due to Jared not defending himself, when Jared was still fighting to get out and moving..... but besides all of the other stuff, JARED KNOCKED THE GUY OUT! WHY was the fight continued on, when he knocked the guy out BEFORE the round ended??

EVEN IF the round ended, then the guy got knocked out.. you CAN NOT continue a fight when you've been knocked out due to liability laws.... BULL CRAAAAAAAP!!

Even in Colton's "winner speach" he said, "this fight was crazy but hey, i dont make the calls". Which is true. Colton straight LUCKED OUT due to stupid officials that night.

Needless to say.. EVERYONE there was outraged. Even people who were non biased to Jared agreed that it was a crap fight and not fair. So this fight is now in review. Jared cant be declared the winner, but the win can be stripped from Colton and the fight will be a "No Contest" fight. (no winners, no losers).

We are still waiting to hear back on it.

Break Your Face..........

Back in December, we helped donate some things for Christmas that a local MMA fighter (Jarome Hatch) had put together. We went to his next fight to check it out, and it was awesome. Sense then we have became good friends with Jarome and his stunning FIANCE (Squeeee, so excited!) Nikki. So of course we went out to support his next fight on May 4th 2012

I think its safe to say that Jarome Hatch is a fan favorite.

He is a family man who puts his family first and STILL is an amazing MMA fighter.

The other guy.... Jarome broke his nose, cheek bone, and orbital bone.

Jarome didnt have a scratch.

All the other guy did was got take downs and just LAID on Jarome. Didnt even do much with it.

But SOME HOW it was a split decision and the 3rd judge said 29-28, the other guy.

SUCH BULL CRAP.
