So a while back.... i did a post on my weight loss. After high school i gained about 20 pounds (which was probably a good thing) and then during pregnancy i gained about 60 pounds. Most of that was water weight due to high blood pressure.
Anyway, after Braylee i lost 60 pounds in less than a year by just watching what i ate, slowly became more active, then i did p90x and the hcg diet. Just from the hcg i lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks.
well i made all this public to hopefully embarrass myself and motivate me even more to keep working hard to get back into shape.
So this is where i need your help!
I kid you not here.... for the last 3 weeks, i have worked out intensely (not just "oh yea i did some crunches") 5-6 days a week. The first week i worked out twice a day to kick off my new work out craze. my workouts consist of 30 min of cardio on my exercises bike, like dripping sweat cardio. Some days i add weight training too. Or i will do Jillian Michael's yoga meltdown which is yoga that makes you sweat like a mother. it claims you'll loose up to 5 pounds a week. Some days i do turbo jam, which is aerobics mixed with kickboxing, dance, and martial arts. Sometimes Pilate's. i never work out less than 30 minutes. Basically i mix up my workouts so my body doesn't get used to the same thing. I am not eating rabbit food but i am watching what i eat, i figure where im working out as much as i am i dont need to live off salad.
AND I HAVE NOT LOST ONE POUND!!!
Not one.
i even measured my body, i have not lost one inch either. not even a cm.
So its not like im gaining muscle but loosing fat.
Now i am going on my 4th week and i am getting SOOOO frustrated i want to give up.
i googled proper calorie intake for my age and so forth and i am supposed to be consuming like 3,000 cals a day. even if i wasn't working out, my body burns that many cals just by breathing and my heart beating ect. So if im working out, id loose weight right......... guess not.
So for a few days i ate like i normally do and read labels and measured everything i ate and counted my calories....at MOST, i eat about 1,500-2,000 AT MOST, generally i eat about 1,200... im not even coming close to 3,000 calories...........SO WHY THE EFF AM I NOT LOOSING! its not like its going so slow that its annoying...its that im going absolutely NO WHERE!
I hear that if you dont eat as many calories as your supposed to you can gain weight, but im not eating any differently then i have before and ive lost weight before with just working out.. so whats different now??
do i need to eat more caloris?
do i need to eat fewer calories?
and im not stupid i know about good and bad calories.
i know how to eat healthy.
i drink water...
i try to avoid soda,
even juice sometimes
some days i stick to only water
i am just sooo confused right now and frustrated im about to do away with eating and working out all together. why work so hard to get NOOOOOO results.
id rather sit on my A and do nothing and just wither away lol
THIS IS HOW FRUSTRATED I AM!
Someone PLEASE help me!
any advice.

You have hit the hump, where you have NO result and then BAmmmm you look like a million bucks the next day, DO NOT QUIT you are so close to going down the hill going 100, keep doing what your doing, stay at low weights more reps on weight training, and low resistances and a fast walk or really low resistances on a bike, but walk fast or ride for longer. Eat healthy, chicken, fish, tuna, low bread intake, no saturated fats, low carbohydrates. Natural foods, rice, veggies, fruits, make sure you. Also if in at the most 6 weeks of all this, and NOTHING not even looking better or measuring smaller, don't go off weight. Then maybe you should see a doctor you might have a thyroid. Just keep in mind that THERE IS the Plato where nothing happens with all the hard work, then it really feels like you wake up and have lost 10 pounds and your cut and look dang good!! ha
I agree with the above comment. First of all, 3000 calories is a lot, so make sure you are not consuming this many calories and make sure these calories are good calories with lots of lean proteins to keep you full. You should probably be consuming 1800-2000 calories a day. Remember to lose one pound that equals 3500 calories (so you do this by cutting down your normal calories or by losing it from exercise). You also need to be drinking your body weight/2= how many oz of water a day. It is important to not starve your body of food or water because it will go into starvation mode and hang on to everything you consume. This is why you should be eating small, frequent meals that are going to keep you full. When you exercise you should be doing your weight resistance first. You burn calories for days from weight resistance but from cardio you only burn it for the time you are acutally doing it. So if you do weight resistance first you will be burning double the amount of calories when you are doing your cardio. Don't get discouraged though, it's only been a week. You should start to see results if you keep up your hard work. If you don't, go see your doctor to see if you have something more serious going on. By the way: the diet Live The Life is a good one if you're looking for one, it also has a workout plan in it.
Uggh, weight loss is soo tough! I wish I had some great words of wisdom for you, but mostly I can just commiserate! Hang in there girl and keep your chin up!
Just found your blog and I am excited to follow!
for 1-you look great so who cares!! and 2-do you think the hcg might have effed your metabolism? if it's a metabolism thing, i suggest drinking lots n lots of agua! and spicy foods. and take biotin why not? it helps a little and makes your hair grow! google speeding up metabolism. and other than that, even if you don't lose anymore weight, exercise gives you more energy, and releases happy endorphens, and keeps your heart healthy and lots and lots of other good things!!! oh ps my mother in law and sister in law get b12 shots and they got SO skinny! not instantly but they're keeping the weight off so that's probably a good thing. mmmkay...also get a golds gym pass so we can go to classes together!!!!!!!!...!!!
wow ash i am now turning to you with all my problems haha but it happened...one day....BAM, 3 pounds down and 1 inch slimmer in the middle.... stupid humps... that was a long hump haha. thanks guys!
you are absolutely gorgeous...no lying there!! Just keep at it...because in the end if nothing happens you can still say...well I've been keeping at it everyday and urggh nothing's happening. Sometimes strength exercises will mess with you too, simply because if your toning muscle, it out-weighs fat. So gaining weight could be muscle weight too. Hang tight girl, you and me both are going through this!!!
PS you are absolutely BEAUTIFUL
you are too sweet... thank you :)
PS-superrrr love the new header :]
