I HATE BEING FAT!

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR A CHRISTA VENT!

But first.. check out my 2 new page tabs just under my header! "Stay connected" for all my internet connections (FB, twitter, pinterest etc). And "Get fit and INSANITY" tab. I made a tab with links to all my posts that i did while doing the INSANITY workout system.

So if your new to my blog, let me explain that in March, i was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. I got on meds, and did the INSANITY workout system (INTENSE cardio system) for 8 weeks (flopped out the last 2) and lost NO weight. Doc said my levels were normal, i demanded a specialist and 6 weeks ago i got diagnosed with hashimoto's thyroiditis. Which in a nut shell, is an autoimmune or chronic thyroiditis where my body produces immune cells that damage my thyroid. So my meds were increased, and its been 4 1/2 weeks and still no weight loss even though i am continuing to eat right and workout. Well last week i had blood work done at my doctor for other reasons and he told me my thyroid levels were still off... EFF MY LIFE!

But anyway... here is a little taste of how up and down my body is
its not THAT big of a differance but i definately feel it. I feel normal, then blaoted and fatter a few days later, then a few days after that ill feel more toned, then fat, then normal. Its so frustrating! Im so sick of this roller coaster and i want OFF. I feel like i have NO metabolism. i NEVER eat more than 1400 calories. I work out still, but if i miss a day or 2, i get fatter. MEEEEEERRR!

Its seriously taking a toll on me. Its frustrating. I feel on edge all the time, i get nauseated every night, ive been depressed. (these are all thyroid symptoms). But  seriously how would you feel if you have been working your A** off sense March and havent lost ONE pound. All you do is bounce between 5 pounds. Up and down, up and down. I just want to give up.

I have a follow up appt with my specialist on the 27th. And im PRAYING we figure something out.

But as far as working out and sticking with my get fit get healthy challenge, i am continuing to workout at LEAST 3 times a week. But with doing the insanity workout i was more focusing on cardio and strength training with my own body weight, so now i am doing more weight training. Im feeling great this week. No weight loss of course but i feel stronger and happier. Is it normal to feel like a total meat head when weight training? Like i want to go get in a fight just so i can knock someone out! Hahaha calm down im just kidding, i just feel super strong and powerful i guess. Im really loving weight training.

Anyway.. just an update on my get fit get healthy challenge :).

My Sister has that and she struggles too. I am sorry you are having a hard time. For what it's worth I think you look great.

My husband was recently diagnosed with Hashimotos and has struggled with losing weight, extreme fatigue and other symptoms. He did an elimination diet and removed ALL gluten(grains), dairy and sugars with amazing results. He lost weight, had more energy and felt healthier. His doctor recommended that he read the book, "Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? When My Lab Tests Are Normal" by Datis Kharrazian. He has learned it is crucial for him to remain gluten free for life and repair his gut. Best of luck on your journey. I hope you find this post somewhat helpful but I'm hoping that you already are on your journey to healing. Peace & Light
